Yuriy Yaremchuk: Jazz For Me - It's My Lifestyle 

«Jazz for me – it’s my lifestyle» - that is the permanent quotation of Yuri Yaremchuk,  well- known and talented musician. He’s a virtuoso of  soprano & tenor saxophone, clarinet & bass clarinet. His stylistic music- preferences are jazz, jazz rock, free jazz , improvised music. Yaremchuk  has collaborated with many jazz musicians from Switzerland, USA, Germany, Russia, Great Britain, Lithuania. He is a  participant  of numerous jazz festivals, actions, happenings  and he’s  one of the founders of the  “JazzClub. L’viv”.

 Music - Poetry Performance Inspired by  Grytsko Chubay’s Poetry

June 17.  The musical-poetic performance inspired by the poetry of Grytsko Chubay was held in the  L’viv Les’ Kurbas Theatre. The  initiator is Maryn Tverdun , the leader of the group “MT3”.  That event was the next in a series of performances devoted to the unification of Ukrainian poetry classics with  modern improvised music. The first step was  a jazz-poetry performance  «Dedicated to Franko ...»,  then honor-event devoted to the  100th anniversary of  Igor Bogdan Antonych performed in the  improvised space «Jazz Cabaret»  within the project «L’viv poetry». 

And now the third project. In  January 23  Grytsko Chubay could celebrate his 60. The poet lived only his 33 years but had declared himself as a talented writer and became prominent, moreover - a cult figure in the history of the literature of XX century. Chubay’s poetry  has  impressed hardly  a young jazz musician Maryin Tverdun as well.

«Night of Culture in Lublin»

For the third time the Festival «Night of Culture» was held in Lublin /the night meeting June 6 & June 7/and  L’viv artists  & musicians  have joined the Festival. In Lublin our city was represented by Art Association «Dzyga». Generally speaking, «Night of Culture in Lublin» presented more than 200 different,  genre-various projects. Organizer of «Night of Culture in Lublin» is Warsztaty Kultury (Filia Centrum Kultury w Lublinie), an old Polish partner of  «Dzyga»

“ZABAVDEN” / Joy-Day/

The organizers of the Children's Festival “Zabavden” have held a charity auction of works of art for children, which was called - «Neprohavden» /Don’t Miss The Day/. The auction was dedicated to the International Day of Children. The collected funds are intended for the organization of summer-camp /Dora village, Carpathians/for children from five L’viv-region orphanages.

"Ptahoterapiya"/Bird-Therapy/ 

June 4, 2009.Gallery «Dzyga». Opening of the exhibition: Vlodko Kaufman  «Ptahoterapiya». At first glance it’s the medical term but the exhibition has nothing to do with the medicine. Meditating at the project, the artist realized that the roots of his project’s  idea lay in the distant years. After all, from his childhood Vlodko enjoys nature and the structure of birds and fish

May 23 – May 25.  It’s already for the second time the Festival of Visual Art was held in L’viv.  100 selected works were demonstrated in the conference hall of the Palace of Arts. The specificity of the Festival: the audience was proposed to view not  just movies, but visual works from all around the world, that is: short & animated films, media projects.
