Trends of “Dzyga” activity:
“JazzClub.L’viv” “JazzClub.L’viv” was founded in 2008 and gathered together L’viv musical circles with the aim to develop and to popularize high-quality jazz . One of the Club’s intentions is to help and to promote young musicians, to find out the most effective ways of jazz festivals & concerts’ arrangement. Not to forget the information exchange & collaboration with cultural circles of other cities. The Club intends to assist L’viv jazz to enter the most prominent European jazz stages…. The “membership” of “JazzClub.L’viv” unites more than 200 musicians, music fans, critics. The founders of the Club are Art Association “Dzyga”, L’viv jazzmen Mark Tokar, Dana Vynnyts’ka, Ihor Hnydyn, Anastasiya Lytvynyuk, Martyn Tverdun & Serhiy Kosenko , Markiyan Ivaschyshyn, lovers of music & music experts In 2010 as usually the Club meetings will be held on Thursdays (art-café “Kvartyra 35”, II floor of the Gallery “Dzyga”). They’ll include jazz concerts, master-classes, co- impromptus and jam sessions. Literary café “Cabinet” Literary café “Cabinet” (12,Vynnychenko Str.) has already managed to become the base of L’viv literary get-togethers. Every one Wednesday (or even several times a week) it will host literary meetings with writers, critics or culture experts, presentation of books and “covens” of different literary groups. The unchallenged & permanent ( for ever) curator of literary meetings is Yuriy Kucheryavyj, culture expert & poet. Currently “Cabinet” has accumulated more than 200 literary actions & events. “Voices On-line” Project “Voices On-line” presents audio records of prose pieces & poetry “voiced” by their authors. “Dzyga.R” Recording Studio under the leadership of Roman Lozyns’kyj ensures all the process and then “voices” start their new autonomous life in Internet network. Access is free and “voices” are ready to give the birth to further creative activities. The curator & initiator of the project is Yuriy Kucheryavyj, culture expert, poet. At present, there are 22 records of voiced poetry & prose: Natalka Bilotserkivets’, Halyna Petrosyan, Pavlo Hirnyk, Mykhailo Hryhoriv, Nazar Honchar, Yuriy Izdryk, Ihor Kalynets;, Halyna Kruk, Oksana Lutsyshyna, Oleh Lysheha, Petro Midyanka, Victor Neborak, Oleksandr Ulyanenko, Tomash Ruzhytsky & others. In 2010 the list is going to be significantly enriched. The records will be displayed MP3 in "Dzyga" website and then we’ll try our best to present them in CD version. Literary podcasts «kabi.net» The project “kabi.net” is a joint project of the blogger afendy & Yurijy Kuthcerjavyj. Weekly, usually on Wednesdays Yuriy Kucherjavyj organizes and moderates different literary events in the café “Cabinet”. Meantime efendy makes the records of them. Then after the proper processing those records are presented in Internet as weekly podcusts. Project kabi.net is aimed to give the possibility to keep trace of present-day literary newer processes in Ukraine /and not only/. At present it’s possible to listen to the records of meetings with Rymaruk, Rozdobud’ko, Merle Hilbk, Kraevsky, Izdryk, Kalynets, Yeshkilyev, Zhadan, Bilotserkovets, Pomerantsev, Neborak ... And every new “cabinet” meeting will replenish the list. Podcasts of jazz discourses «Jazz iz» That Project appeared on the eve of the Festival «Jazz Bez-2009» & it is going to be replenished by the records of reviews, stories, conversations with jazz musicians and about jazz. Gallery "Dzyga" In 2010 the Gallery “Dzyga” is intended to go on with the presentations of significant projects of prominent Ukrainian and foreign artists, considering contemporary art a priority. The conceptual project “Social-ka” will continue its ” life” in the entrance-hall of the Gallery and the II floor, the site of the art-café “Kvartyra35”/Flat 35/ will be placed at the disposal of permanent photo exhibitions. Photo-Club “Ch/B.5x5”/White-Black 5x5/ “5x5” is a non formal photographic association ivolving as individual photographers /regardless of skill level/ as already existing photo-groups. Meetings: every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The Club’s trends of activity include: the permanent art project “Ch/B.5x5” (5 works exhibited on the facade of an ancient building & 5 conceptually related works are exposed in the interior of the Club), solo & group exhibitions of the Photographic Association members, video presentations and discussions of the portfolio of young photographers, a photography contest, master-classes of prominent photo-artist, lectures on actual subjectsof contemporary photo-art, nonstop slide-shows, and just chats in an informal atmosphere.
