January 15 the L’viv Philharmonic hosted the concert "Christmas Eve With  Good Jazz"

Participants: the group «ShockolaD», Nadiya Zhuk,  Yaryna  Prokopchuk, Larysa Rudenko, Andriy Badyuk and Solomia Chubay

The program included the jazz arrangements of  Ukrainian Christmas carols

«Jazz Club.Lviv» Anniversary: Video, Photos, Text

28 January, as usually at 7 pm, the Club members gathered at 35 Virmenska street & celebrated the first anniversary of  the «Jazz Club.Lviv » (with a  cup of hot mulled wine).

Dana Vynnytska congratulated all present & (briefly) informed the Club members on the changes of membership – this year an annual fee that allows you to “enjoy” all the privileges of the Club is 200 UAH.

She also announced the events calendar of the Club, namely:

Just one year has passed since the foundation of our Jazz Club.

«JazzClub.Lviv» will hold vocal  masterclasses.

From 14 to 17 December maestro  Richard Berkeley (London )  will conduct the vocal masterclasses in  the «JazzClub.Lviv».

The celebration party will be held on 2 December (Wednesday),  L’viv  club «Picasso», 8:00 p.m.

There’s still some time left till the official opening of the  Festival “Jazz Bez-2009”,   but talks  about it have been conducting  from long ago & in  different formats.

 

ShockolaD With the Orchestral Flavor

The IX International Festival "Jazz Bez" will last for ten days from 4 to 13 December
For ten days the trans-border Jazz Marathon will  unite the Ukrainian and Polish cities -   L’viv, Przemysl,  Lublin, Sanok,  Nowic, Ternopil, Sevastopol, , Lutsk, Ivano-Frankivs'k  and Kyiv.


It  will present a variety of jazz, experimental and improvised music of  known and recognized groups and new projects of the  prominent musicians.

The Festival will bring together  over twenty jazz projects &  about a hundred musicians from 13 countries /USA, Japan, Germany, Denmark, UK,  Netherlands,  France, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Egypt, Lithuania and Ukraine/

 On the eve of  the launch of “Jazz Bez” a popular newspaper “Vysokyj Zamok” published the interview with the  L’viv group “ShockolaD” (5 December the last one will  have their concert in in the L’viv Philharmonic). Dana Vynnytska (vocals), Nastya Lytvynyuk (keyboards) and Igor Hnydyn 9drums) talked about  jazz,  music market and festival .life.
