All fiber types are useful and even Type IIx has its uses such as in powerful explosive movements like plyometrics. But it needs to be trained. Secondly, there are a lot of overlaps across categories so strength training and cardio will influence all fiber types not just one. It’s just that the degree or extent of impact varies. You can think of training or exercising as a way of CLARIFYING all fiber types and making them efficient. I’ve only created clear cut categories in the skit for (over) simplifying the concept.

Next question that typically comes is what is better - yoga or gym or cardio etc. And as I’ve shown in the skit each one of them will have a very unique impact on the muscle fibers - you simply cannot compare different exercise modalities.

The best way to choose is what you enjoy the most and try to add some variety. If you’re doing yoga also add power and vinyasa yoga. If you like running also add some strengthening twice a week and so on. The point of this skit is not to tell you one exercise is better than the other - but that EXERCISE overall is good.

Just start with whatever is easy, and accessible. You have a whole life and decades ahead of you to continue experimenting. Just start somewhere with anything instead of looking for the perfect program.
