Save you time When I said "Saves you time" you may immediately jump to "This guy is talking about interval training". And that is true. But I'm talking about something even simpler than traditional interval training. So why don't I recommend traditional steady state cardio? For two resins: it is inefficient and it is potentially deadly. While Steady STate Cardio does burn calories, it is not the most efficient way to go about it. Because of the low intensity, steady state exercise does not kick your metabolism into overdrive after the workout. Intervals, on the other hand burn calories during the workout, but continues burning calories for hours afterwards. Now steady state cardio can actually be dangerous as well. There are episodes of incredibly fit people who drop dead from heart issues after running a marathon. While this is an extreme example, there is a very important reason for this. All animals, including humans, are made for periods of exertion, followed by rest. Think of a cheetah. Sure they can run 60 miles per hour, but only for a few moments. Then they need to stop and recover. Humans need the same thing. By exerting yourself, then resting in a very specific way you build up your hearts "reserve" energy. As well as your entire body's reserves. The benefit for your heart is that it makes it nearly impervious to disease and heart attacks. But you may not be interested in never having a heart attack. But you're probably interested in having an attractive physique. In the most extreme comparison. Take a look at the masters of Steady State Cardio, olympic marathoners. Versus Sprinters who basically run intervals. Marathoners for the most part have very thin, almost wasted away physiques. While sprinters have healthy, muscular bodies. Even women who don't want a lot of muscle mass, can benefit from having some muscle and a healthy body. So what is the simplified intervals system? THis system is easy to follow, will strip fat off of your body, and strengthen your heart for years to come. In this example we will use running, but you can use any cardio machine you want. First, begin with a warmup for 2-3 minutes. Now you will sprint to near maximum exertion. You should be out of breath, your heart rate should increase significantly, and you should begin to sweat. Hold this exertion level for a moment. Then, you will begin active rest. Walk and concentrate on lowering your heart rate. This is the Fluffy Bunny Principle. Focus on relaxing thoughts, such as a fluffy bunny rabbit. THis will bring your heart rate down, building up your hearts reserve, and priming your body for maximum fat loss. When your heart rate is under control and you've caught your breath, begin to sprint again to momentary exertion. Afterwards, you will return to the active rest. You'll complete a set number of repetitions depending on your goal. But you should limit your total workout time to under 30 mints, and in most cases under 20 minutes. This system is simple and will give you very fast results. Using just the information here you will start losing fat and increasing your health. There are more specifics to this but I can't get into all of them in this short video.
