Growth hormone (GH) GH is created in the pituitary. From there, it works in your liver to trigger fat burning. 2. IGF-1 IGF-1 is insulin-like growth factor. This hormone is made by your liver. This is triggered by growth hormone and protein. 3. Glucagon Glucagon is created in the pancreas. It opposed insulin. So if insulin causes you to store fat, glucagon causes you to get rid of fat.
