Ethan had to flip a switch from negative to positive. It sounds trite, and I’m not sure myself if it’s kind of ‘wanky’, but ultimately this is what happened to help Ethan succeed. I’ve written about some of my more shameful moments in my life and have usually concluded that they tie in to the improvements in our relationship and our ability to communicate better.
Finally, we can’t forget about Ethan’s outer problems, the external expectations faced by someone who has gathered a non-negligible audience of fans beloved or critical, of detractors or admirers, and especially of commentators and social media. But for all the external noise, Ethan managed it all by sticking to his own plan. He continued doing what he thought was best, pursuing the aims that he wanted to achieve.
