Emerging research indicates that Mounjaro (tirzepatide), a medication primarily used for type 2 diabetes and weight loss, may also help reduce addictive cravings. Studies suggest that GLP-1 receptor agonists like Mounjaro can decrease cravings for substances such as alcohol and opioids by influencing brain pathways associated with addiction.  While these findings are promising, further research is necessary to fully understand the potential of Mounjaro in treating addictive behaviours.
