Metformin works well to lower hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C or A1C), or your average blood glucose levels over 3 months. I am in my 3rd month taking it and my numbers just reduced to normal. This will allow the lower carb/Mediterranean diet, weight lifting and exercise to begin working. The only way to fail is to quit and that is not an option. I either do nothing and keep gaining weight or I work at finding the best combination of food, fitness and exercise with some temporary help from metformin! I am sharing my journey and my results.
