Obesity is one of the commonest word that we listen to nowadays. What is Obesity? Obesity is the increased accumulation of fat in the body than the natural or normal quantity of the same depending on their height and age of the person weight can be accumulated in various places in the body, it can a be in the chin, the arms thighs, abdomen sagging breasts, anywhere, his, but we are looking at whether panchkarma can resolve this issue. Between obesity and being thin, what is the best? Being thin is the best because there is no medicine for obesity. Some of them are for example, for may be either regular panchkarma or regular detoxification of the boy called as vamana, and virechana has been advised. Just strictly following those procedures by practice, I have seen in my practice reducing upto about 5 to 10 kgs without much difficulty at all. There is a procedure called as udvartana and udgarthanas. It is one of the poorvakarmas of panchkarma or you can just call it as poorvakarma. That if done regularly along with a procedure called as lepana basthi, basti is the medication through the rectal route, because rectal absorption is about 33% more than the oral absorption. When given in combination for a certain duration of time, for 7, 14, 21 days, we have seen excellent results in a good number of population. Ofcourse when combined with certain herbs which are medohara, which can dissolve the herbs, they gave sense very good results. It is not only the commitment of the doctor there has to be something from your side also, the patients side also. What do I mean by it? It is the exercise and the diet and the lifestyle, what we always advise. No junk food, no aerated water, and any food which is fresh, hot steaming food, timely can resolve all these problems.
